Happy Holidays from The SPRINT Project!

As we approach the holiday season, The SPRINT Project team wants to extend our warmest wishes to everyone. This time of year can bring joy, relaxation, and a much-needed break from our busy lives. However, we also recognize that it can come with its own set of challenges. That's why we've gathered some self-care tips from our team members to help you navigate the festive season with a sense of well-being.

Keeping Moving

“I will be making the most of spending time with my family but making sure to get some walks or shorter workouts in. Being physically active helps me to have more brain capacity for family get togethers and being the best possible version of myself.”

Setting healthy boundaries & prioritizing your well-being

“During the Christmas period, I am going to be spending time with family and friends whilst also being realistic with my social battery, and ensuring that I prioritise my own energy levels. I am going to stick to routine as much as I can as this helps me to feel my best, and also make sure I take time to play golf and tennis as these are important for my wellbeing.”

Practicing Gratitude

"During this holiday season, I’ve found it helpful to take a moment to reflect on the past year and practice gratitude. Focusing on the positive aspects and small victories of my journey has brought a sense of contentment and optimism for the year ahead. It’s amazing how even the smallest moments can remind us of what we have to be thankful for."

Managing expectations & being present

“It’s easy to feel pressure to make everything perfect. I've found it helps to manage my expectations by focusing on what truly matters. Accepting that things won't always go as planned lets me enjoy the moment and appreciate time with loved ones."

Maintaining balance

“During the Christmas break, I am going to be kind to myself and remember that rest and spending time with family is equally as important as routine! I am looking forward to the festivities and quality time but will also ensure not to over plan social activities to minimise feeling overwhelmed by this period!”

Staying connected

“Staying connected with friends and family can make a big difference. Even if it's a quick phone call or video chat, reaching out to loved ones helps maintain a sense of community and support. It's a simple way to share joy and stay emotionally connected, no matter the distance."
