Have you tried the app Fika, yet? Designed with students in mind, this fantastic app offers snappy, 5 minute emotional fitness workouts. These fun activities aim to support your positive mental health and develop your skills.
Emotional fitness
The app was created from what is known from strengths-based research. When we talk about emotional fitness we’re talking about strengths such as:
· Acceptance
· Confidence
· Connection
· Empathy
· Flexibility
· Focus
· Openness
· Resilience
When was the last time you thought about exercising your emotional fitness?
We are delighted to announce that in collaboration with local homelessness charity St Basils, we recently produced a guest feature on the app. In this feature, we show you how you can build your support network by using what we call the Dream Team.
The Dream Team
This is a tool developed by the SPRINT team in conjunction with St Basils charity. It highlights the importance of building a strong support network.
Young people often feel isolated or lonely. To challenge this, it helps to take time to think about those you have around you in your life.
Connecting with people is a skill that can improve your resiliency.
Prioritise you
You might think you don’t have enough time in the day to fit everything in. But your emotional health is important. Besides, who can argue with 5 minutes out of your day? It’s time to prioritise your emotional fitness.
Join in the fun
Fika provides an exciting and innovative way of looking after your emotional health. Universities across the UK have already begun promoting the app. Join the many students who have begun their own emotional fitness workouts. Download right now and give it a go!
